TOTOWA, N.J. – Lourdes Garcia was selected by the North Jersey FCU Board to be the $168.4 million CU's new president/CEO. She succeeds Richard Block, who retired from the position April 1 after 33 years of service. Garcia has been with NJFCU since 1984, starting as a teller. She moved up through the ranks and was named Senior Vice President in 2004. In addition to managing the credit union's overall operations and implementation of a small business/commercial lending program, Garcia has witnessed NJFCU's growth from a small educators' CU to an occupational charter with hundreds of select employer groups. NJFCU has 29,458 members.
