PORTLAND, Ore. – Corillian Corp. has added a Web geo-locator service to its Corillian Fraud Detection Service, bolstering its ability to thwart phishing attacks before they get under way, the company says. The Corillian Fraud Detection System uses Web log analysis to identify phishing behaviors before an attack is launched, and now will be using the GeoPoint location service from Quova Inc. of Mountain View, Calif. The integrated systems will now be better able to identify the geographic location, ISP and organization associated with each Web site visitor to an organization, the companies say, helping to proactively stop fraudulent activity before it begins. Corillian (www.corillian.com) is an Internet banking specialist whose client list includes a number of large banks and credit unions. Quova Inc. (www.quova.com) specializes in real-time Web location identification and has a client list that includes Cisco Systems, VeriSign and Bell Canada.
