DAYTON, Ohio – NCR said last week that the $23 billion Navy FCU has selected its image-based technology for image capture, processing, and storage – all in preparation of image exchange brought on by Check 21. Navy will specifically use NCR's ImageMark solutions to capture, balance and consolidate images from Navy's 106 member service centers throughout the world. Images will be electronically sent to Navy's processing center in Vienna, Va. Balanced transaction files will be sent to the CU's host system for cash letter generation and to an image exchange app provided by VECTORsgi. ImageMark will also handle incoming paper and electronic transactions from other financials and archive payment data. Navy said this move is indicative of its transition into the Check 21 world of image exchange and away from its microfilm system of check archiving.
