LAS VEGAS – Caesars Palace Las Vegas will be the site of NACUSO’s 20th Annual Conference, May 8-11. The four-day event will be the association’s first since it restructured its mission and long-term objectives in November to focus and support the collaborative CUSO business model. With that in mind, the theme of this year’s conference is appropriately “Dare to Dream – Collaborate, Innovate, Succeed.” Although the conference will officially kick off on May 8, NACUSO General Counsel and Attorney Guy Messick will host a CU Caf Networking Meeting on May 7 to provide CUSOs and credit unions an opportunity to network about their respective services and experiences. The conference features an extensive list of guest speakers well known to CUSOs and credit unions: Ed Barlow, president, Creating the Future Inc. who will deliver the keynote on May 9 (“Aligning Credit Unions and CUSOs with a Continuum of Change”); Mike Hales, president, Counter Intelligence Associates (“The Multi-Credit Union Regional MBL CUSO – Developing the Successful Business Model”); Ed Callahan, senior member, Member Value Network (“Running with Good People”); former NCUA Board member Dennis Dollar, principal partner of Dollar Associates (“The Political, Regulatory and Legislative Environment for Credit Unions and CUSOs.2005 and Beyond”; Peter Keen, chairman, Keen Innovations, an advisor to senior management in business and government organizations; Chip Filson, president/CEO, Callahan and Associates (“The State of the CUSO Marketplace”) and Ron Shevlin, VP, Forrester Research, (“Earning CU Member Loyalty”). The conference will also feature break-out sessions on various CUSO relevant topics.
