DENVER – SunCorp held its Balance Sheet Strategies for 2005 presentations in January throughout Colorado, Utah, and Nebraska, focusing on investments, ALM, loans, and SunCorp’s new Loan Services Program. Mark Schieffer, Senior Vice President of Investments/Chief Investment Officer, and Jo-Nell Herndon, Vice President of Risk Management, presented to SunCorp’s members, along with several credit unions who participated as panelists, sharing their experiences with loan participations. Schieffer helped members understand what to expect in 2005, including inflation, consumer spending, the Federal Reserve, business spending, government spending, trade, and employment. He also covered ALM in a rising rate environment. Herndon explained the many different types of loan products SunCorp offers, including overnight, closed end, and specialized loans. She also moderated a panel discussion on loan participations.
