Philadelphia – In keeping with the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," Freedom Credit Union employees recently sent a check for over $2,300 to the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. Like most Americans, Freedom employees were anxious to contribute to the relief effort aimed at helping millions of Southeast Asians recover from the earthquake and resulting tidal wave that struck countries surrounding the Indian Ocean last December. Freedom's contribution to the American Red Cross consists of over $1,000 in direct employee contributions which were then matched 100% by the credit union.
