FORT WORTH, Texas – While there won't be a professional hockey season this year, EECU employees and members still had the opportunity to see the Stanley Cup in person. No the Dallas Stars weren't playing. The Cup was at a Fort Worth Brahmas minor league hockey game, along with former hockey greats, Andy Moog and Guy Carbonneau – Moog, is a minority owner of the Fort Worth based hockey team. The crowd was much larger than anticipated as people stood in line to have their pictures taken with the Stanley Cup and die hard hockey fans took a picture of the Dallas Stars name listed on the icon from their win of the NHL title a few years ago. The event is a bit ironic in that just a few days after it was held the National Hockey League announced that the 2005 season was cancelled due to a labor dispute between owners and players.
