ORLAND PARK, Ill.-When Deborah Fogarty was indicted for stealing millions from a television station she worked for, Oak Forest Credit Union, where she previously served as treasurer, looked into her activities there. Fogarty, 45, was already serving seven and a half years in prison for stealing $1.8 million from WBBM-TV, where she worked as head accountant, www.dailysouthtown.com reported. The credit union, that since merged with South Division Credit Union, eventually discovered $40,700 unaccounted for between 1998 and 2003. The credit union served employees of Oak Forest's municipal offices, libraries, police and fire departments, and park district. Judge James Egan sentenced Fogarty to another four and a half years in prison and ordered her to return the stolen money, the news Web site quoted Tom Stanton, a spokesman for the Cook County state's attorneys office, as saying. The sentences will run concurrently.
