KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – Strohl Systems has released an upgraded version of its Web-based business continuity planning tools for credit unions and community banks. PLANet 2.0 includes business impact analysis and a testing module that enables users to "completely meet" requirements of NCUA and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, the company says. "This newest version of PLANet provides community financial institutions with a comprehensive plan that is exactly what government auditors are now requiring," says Brian Turley, president of Strohl Systems. The system is designed to help credit unions and banks assess their operational and financial vulnerabilities, along with creating strategies for recovery from business disruptions. Upgrades also include new recovery scripts, reports, document management capabilities and security access settings for multiple users. The first version of PLANet won a CUNA Technology Council Best of Show award in 2003 and the solution is endorsed by the trade group, Turley says.
