WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Passageways LLC, a provider of portals and Intranets to credit unions, banked on democracy in 2004 and plans to double its client base this year. The two-year-old company grew swiftly in 2004, now numbering more than 50 clients with the addition of 31 from its acquisition of Extreme Arts & Sciences' Intranet division and 18 installations of its own. Two of its new clients are billion-dollar CUs: Pennsylvania State Employees CU and Mountain America CU. Passageways, partly owned by a CUSO of Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union, also upgraded its platform in 2004 based on clients' voting on requested improvements. "In the first two years, we focused on enabling our customers to implement and run their portals. In 2005 we'll introduce new developments to enhance the portal in exciting ways," said Gail Koehler, president of Passageways (www.passageways.net). Plans include the company's first users group conference, a new software development kit, and upgrades to contact management, expense reporting, assigned task and help-desk modules.
