LYNCHBURG, Va. – VACORP FCU, Virginia's home state corporate, officially opened the doors of its new headquarters on Jan. 18. VACORP had been leasing space from the Virginia CU League for years, but VACORP CEO Jim Hansen said the corporate just needed more space. It will have approximately 9,000 square feet of space in the new facility, compared to 6,000 with the league. Hansen said the new location is close to the League's headquarters so they can maintain a close relationship. He noted that the corporate wanted to make the headquarters transition before it undergoes a data processing conversion to Symitar beginning in September. VACORP's new office is located at 107 Leroy Bowen Drive in Lynchburg. All VACORP members are invited to attend a grand opening celebration in March. "We want to thank our members for their loyal support throughout the last three decades." said Hansen. "The new operations center is a visible symbol of the commitment of our members to the success of their corporate credit union."
