ST. LOUIS – There is a new player in the credit union facilities game. Design/build /general contracting firm Clayco Construction Company (www.claycorp.com) has launched the Clayco Financial Facilities division to focus on development and design/build services and delivering turnkey facilities to the financial services industry. The group also has the ability to integrate branding services for expansion in the marketplace. “This new group within our existing corporate facilities unit is a perfect fit with our current client base and services,” said Clayco Chairman/CEO Bob Clark. “The banking and financial services industry is undergoing a dynamic expansion, with several large financial companies growing internally. The industry is exploding and we are forming this new group to meet the demand.” According to Clark, the team leading Clayco Financial Facilities, which includes Paul Barrath, Tom Lombardo, Bruce Wolferding, Mary Smolar, Scott Florini and Clarence Steele, has worked with hundreds of credit unions, including more than 25 of the top 100 credit unions in the country. “We joined Clayco because it is a progressive company with superior project delivery,” said Barrath, who heads the department as vice president. “We had the expertise – now we have the resources to create the most highly experienced financial facilities team in the country.” Founded in 1984, Clayco offers turnkey capabilities for office/warehouse distribution centers exceeding 1.5 million square-feet; call centers and manufacturing/processing facilities for high-tech and food and beverage industries, sport/entertainment, education; and high-rise luxury condominiums/apartments. In addition to its headquarters here, Clayco has full-service offices in Chicago, Dallas and Detroit.
