HOUSTON – The Texas Credit Union Department has approved a merger between First Service Credit Union and the Houston Association of Realtors Credit Union (HARCU). The over $8 million HARCU was established in 1963 to serve the members and affiliate members of the Houston Association of Realtors. "This merger is a true win for everyone involved as the HARCU members and HAR members will now be able to take advantage of the new and innovative products and services offered by First Service," said First Service President/CEO Jerry Shrode. After the merger First Service CU will have almost $175 million in assets and serve some 33,500 members.
