WASHINGTON-The House Financial Services Committee has announced the new members that will be joining the `A' list committee. On the Republican side of the aisle, Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (Ohio) will be returning to the committee after leaving it to serve on the Rules Committee. Freshman Representatives Geoff Davis (Ky.), Michael Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Patrick McHenry (N.C.), and Tom Price (Ga.) will be joining the committee, as will second-term Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R). The Democrats will be adding congressional newcomers Emanuel Cleaver (Mo.), Melissa Bean (Ill.), Debbie Wasserman Shultz (Fla.), Gwen Moore (Wis.), and Al Green (Texas). Congressman Mike Ross (Ark.), who took the lead for the Democrats on regulatory relief, is expected to leave the Financial Services Committee to join Energy and Commerce, as is Jay Inslee (D-Wash.). The main sponsor of the bill, Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.V.), is also leaving the committee for a spot on the Rules Committee. Additionally, Rahm Emanuel (D. Ill.) is expected to go to the Ways and Means Committee. One other Republican, Melissa Hart (R-Pa.) is also likely to leave Financial Services. Lawmakers on the `A' list committees, including Financial Services, Energy and Commerce, Appropriations, and Ways and Means, cannot serve on any other committees.
