DULUTH, Ga. -One could say Georgia Federal Credit Union has arrived. The over $354 million credit union and its President/CEO Warren Butler have been featured in Gwinnett's Who's Who Magazine. In a two-page article entitled "Credit Unions – Where People Are Worth More Than Money" published in the magazine's October 2004 issue readers learned about Butler, The Georgia Credit Union Center and a short history of GFCU. The article also touted the benefits of membership ranging from the credit union's 13 locations to its free money-management seminars provided in a "lunch and learn" format. "This was a exciting opportunity to showcase credit unions and how GFCU is ready and willing to serve potential member and member groups in the area," said Butler. "Almost as soon as the search for a new corporate location began, we learned that the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Georgia Central Credit Union and CUNA Mutual Group, were also in need of a home with future growth potential. So, partnering together and creating The Georgia Credit Union Center seemed like the best solution for everyone."
