SAN ANTONIO – Talk about collecting food to feed the hungry. The food, which was collected during an SSFCU-sponsored drive over the holiday season, resulted in 1.5 million pounds, which is enough to make nearly 1.2 million meals or feed 60,000 people three meals a day for six months. The San Antonio Food Bank feeds more than 40,000 families each month in 16 counties in southwest Texas. SSFCU has over $3 billion in assets and serves more than 500,000 members with22 locations in South Texas and six facilities in Colorado.
