LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. – Provident Credit Union will help ensure it follows the complex rules for community lending by deploying the compliance software solutions from QuestSoft. The $1.2 billion CU, which serves the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas, will be using the Laguna Hills company's HMDA RELIEF, CRA RELIEF and Instant Geocoder compliance software, the company says. "We chose QuestSoft's software because it is a full compliance risk management tool used for data collection, editing our records and analyzing our performance data to enhance our competitiveness," said Michael Le, business analyst at Provident CU. Although credit unions are not required to follow guidelines for the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Provident is using CRA RELIEF to track and analyze the credit union's lending activities to confirm the credit union is meeting the lending needs of its current members and to identify and reach out to potential new members, added Ken James, vice president of compliance at QuestSoft.
