HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. – People's Alliance Federal Credit Union brought holiday cheer to sick children through the Marty Lyons Foundation toy drive. PAFCU members and staff donated new, unwrapped toys. In addition, the credit union raffled a giant holiday stocking filled with toys and a mini-autographed football signed by Marty. The raffle raised $442 for the foundation. The Marty Lyons Foundation was established to fulfill the special wishes of children, between three and 17 years of age, who have been diagnosed as having a terminal or life threatening illness by providing and arranging a wish such as: a trip, meeting a celebrity, attending a special event, a shopping spree, a specific gift, or any other special wish request. In addition, the foundation collects toys for these children and their families to help make their holiday season special. This year, several of PAFCU staffers volunteered their time to help out at the foundation's holiday party.
