VIENNA, Va. – Brian McDonnell's last day as president/CEO of Navy FCU, the world's largest credit union, was Dec. 17. As part of the farewell ceremony given to him by employees, McDonnell was presented an autographed, framed copy of Credit Union Times' Publisher Mike Welch's Sept. 1, 2004 column which looked back on McDonnell's tenure at Navy FCU. Retired Navy Vice Admiral Cutler Dawson took over for McDonnell. "I'm energized about what's ahead for Navy Federal," Dawson commented. "We will remain focused on our long and proud tradition of serving the financial needs of Sailors and Marines and their families. I look forward to contributing to that effort and building upon the wonderful things Brian McDonnell did for our world-class credit union."
