MAYNARD, Mass. – Bethpage Federal Credit Union has signed up with Experion Systems, a vendor of automated advice technology, for its tech-based software package including its loan and deposit account advisor series as well as wealth management.

Kirk Kordelski, president and CEO of the $2 billion Long Island CU, said the advice package, which guides members in product selection on the Internet or at phone centers, will strengthen the CU services as it competes with large banks “which already offer some level of advice technology” in the New York market. The Experion solution “will improve our levels of personalization,” said Kordelski. Experion, which over the last four years has inked deals with some large CUs on both coasts, has been promoting an advice package designed to lead members through a question and answer “decision tree” to select the right product. Ross Blair, CEO of Experion, said its product line can “quickly level the playing field with competitors many times” the size of participating CUs.
