WASHINGTON-Though pundits had predicted that Treasury Secretary John Snow, a supporter of the credit union tax exemption, would be asked to leave as President George W. Bush overhauls his economic team, the president has asked him to stay. White House spokesman Scott McClellan reported that Snow had lunch at the White House on Dec. 8 with members of the economic team and met with Bush, FOX News reported. “The president is pleased Secretary Snow agreed to continue to serve,” FOX News quoted McClellan as saying. Snow is the former CEO of CSX railroad company and holds a Ph.D. in economics.
