WICHITA, Kan. – Lowell Richardson, president/CEO of Mid American Credit Union, will retire on Dec. 31 after nearly 15 years at the helm. Richardson, 63, will be replaced by Jim Holt, executive vice president of the $123 million credit union. During Richardson's tenure, several new branches were added including a $2.5 million main branch. In 2001, the credit union also partnered with Cessna Employees Credit Union and TECU Credit Union to open a shared branch in southwest Wichita, a first for the area here.Chartered in 1936, Mid American CU serves more than 19,000 members. It also serves approximately 200 employers in Kansas.
