ATLANTA – Harland Financial Solutions has expanded its core processing presence by going to an unlikely source, Fair Isaac. Harland has acquired the core processing business of Fair Isaac based in Heathrow, Florida. Harland has 400 CUs on its ULTRADATA core system. It has made acquisitions in the past to build core processing market share, such as last year's acquisition of Premier Systems, Inc. This deal brings Harland the Phoenix System, an in-house and online system that runs on both Windows NT and Unix. Harland said the Phoenix system targets mid-sized banks and thrifts, and fills that gap for Harland.
