WASHINGTON – Who says credit unions can't have a little fun here on the day before a Presidential election? For Halloween, Callahan and Associate staffers dressed up as the top five credit unions-$21.8 billion Navy FCU, $12 billion North Carolina-based State Employees CU, $7 billion Pentagon FCU, $5.1 billion The Golden One and $4.9 billion Orange County Teachers FCU – to pay a visit to the White House and share the message of "a credit union nation." On the way to the White House the CU-inspired "Fab Five" stopped by several banking symbols-including a bank ATM with surcharges on CU members – to inform consumers about credit union alternatives. "People can vote for President only once every four years," said The Golden One impersonator Joe Spike. "But you can vote every day with your money. Credit unions should be the people's first choice." Navy FCU impersonator Merry Water added, "We want to get the word out that there is choice fore every American, not just in who you vote for, but where you keep your money."
