FORT BELVOIR, Va. – More than 60 business partners and communityrepresentatives turned out for the launch of Fort Belvoir FCU's newsmall business services program. Among the attendees was BrianGagnon, president of Newtek Business Services, Inc., who attendedthe recent appreciation luncheon. Gagnon introduced Fort BelvoirFCU's merchant processing and small business loans to theattendees. Newtek formed an alliance with CUNA in early 2003 toassist credit unions with member business loans, SBA loans,underwriting and other related services. The $189 million creditunion also presented a donation to Fort Belvoir's Army CommunityServices for educational resources for their military spousevocational training program. Fort Belvoir FCU serves more than22,000 members.
