First Financial Federal Credit Union, Lutherville, Md., Board Chairman J. Wesley Bone has been presented the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen, Eugene Ball Award. This award is given in recognition of commitment to country, credit union and the NACUC. Bone is the third recipient of this award. During Bone’s tenure, First Financial FCU has grown from $2 million in assets and 4,000 members to its current size of more than $500 million and over 50,000 members. He has served 33 years as chairman of the board, 38 years as a director, and been a member for 44 years. Hamilton Horizons Federal Credit Union, N.J., Marketing Manager Dana Burzymowski has been presented the first Woman of Achievement Award by the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women. The award was established to honor a county resident for making significant contributions as a volunteer within the Mercer County Community. Burzymowski was recognized for consistently donating her time and talents to improve conditions for others while generating a high lever of goodwill. Bay Area Credit Union, Oregon, Ohio has been presented The Robert Seymour Community Service Award by the Northwest Ohio Chapter of Credit Unions. The credit union was recognized for its outstanding contributions through its Community Outreach Program. The Outreach Program was established as a charitable way to help those in need in the community and elsewhere in keeping with the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.” Paragon Federal Credit Union, Montvale, N.J., President/CEO Richard Rays has been honored by the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts presented Rays with the Construction Award in recognition of his years of dedicated community service. Proceeds from the awards dinner will go directly to help fund an “at-risk” youth program called Scout Reach, as well as the other programs of the Boy Scouts of America where more than 31, 000 young people are afforded the character building opportunities that scouting provides. Ent Federal Credit Union, Colorado Springs, Colo., Investment Services was presented with a 2004 CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS) Keystone Award at this year’s CFS Annual Conference in San Diego, California. The CFS Keystone Awards were created to recognize credit union financial services programs which have differentiated themselves in one of three categories over the past year: Awareness, Credibility and Integration. The Ent Federal Investment Services program was recognized in the Integration category for its strength in providing investment services education and product offerings to members as part of Ent Federal’s holistic approach to member service.
