RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia CU went live last month with a new interface developed by CU Direct Corp. and IA Systems, that connects CUDL and the decision engines of StreamLendT, IA's automated, paperless loan processing software. IA Systems is a leading provider of loan origination software for credit unions and other financial institutions. The state-of-the-art, Web services, XML interface, which was five months in the making and a result of a collaborative effort between CU Direct and IA Systems, meets the Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (the STAR standard), which is an auto-industry wide initiative to create voluntary IT standards for how manufacturers, dealers, and customers communicate with each other. Virginia CU's AVP of Loan Administration Sherryl Gould said the interface allows the credit union to approve more loans and reduce costs “because IA's powerful technology tightly integrates CUDL's decision process with our own decisioning rules.”
