Spokane Teachers Credit Union, Wash., has marked its 70th anniversary by burying a time capsule. The capsule contains items that reflect the credit union's heritage and current way of doing business and will reside in front of STCU's main branch. The capsule is set to be reopened on the credit union's 100th Anniversay in 2034. Members Credit Union, Winston-Salem, N.C. , President/CEO Jack V. Braswell, Jr., celebrates 25 years of credit union service this year. Under Braswell's leadership, the credit union has enjoyed a 70% growth in membership as well as a 173% growth in assets, and 408% capital growth. Braswell has held a seat on the Members CU Board of Directors for 25 years and has also served on several credit union boards and committees including the Political Action Board of Trustees, CUNA Mutual Policy Owners' Council, Credit Union Service Corporation Operations Committee, various NC CU League Committees and the Northwest Chapter Board. Pacific Community Credit Union, Fullerton, Calif., President/CEO Kevin Pendergraft has recently been honored by the PCCU Board of Directors for his 10 years of service. Pendergraft began his career with PCCU as Executive Vice President on October 14, 1994 when PCCU was Beckman Employees Credit Union. In 1997, he played an instrumental role in converting PCCU into a multi-city state charted community credit union and changing the credit union's name to Pacific Community CU. Pendergraft was presented with a plaque from the board of directors in appreciation of his dedicated service.'
