INDIANAPOLIS-Senator Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) visited with Indiana credit union leaders on International Credit Union Day. The Indiana Credit Union League invited Bayh to meet with credit union leaders at the Farm Bureau Building where Hoosier Farm Bureau Credit Union is located. "It was a great way to celebrate International Credit Union Day," said League President John McKenzie. "We appreciate Senator Bayh being such a strong supporter of credit unions and his leadership for our state and nation." During the meeting, Bayh commented on the important role credit unions play. The Senate Banking Committee member said he was proud to serve the state of Indiana in the U.S. Senate and reiterated his support for credit unions. After the meeting, Bayh toured the $9.5 million credit union with CEO Jennifer Bracken. See page 36-37 for more International CU Week events.
