RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The California Credit Union League, together with CUNA & Affiliates, is making available to all credit unions its Rapid Real Estate Service Web-based tool that allows CUs to quickly process and close mortgages from a nationwide list of providers. Instead of contacting different providers individually, CUs using CCUL's Rapid Real Estate Service can order appraisal services, property valuations, flood determinations, credit reports, document services, title services, closing and escrow services and tax services by entering information for a borrower once into the Web-based interface and submitting it to many providers simultaneously. "Loan officers don't need to make phone calls to order each service separately, no documents need to be faxed back and forth, and the information is delivered directly to the loan officer's desktop. By speeding up and simplifying this process, Rapid makes a credit union a more attractive lender in a very fierce marketplace," said CCUL VP, Business Services Sylvia Fath. CUNA is planning a demonstration of Rapid Real Estate Service at its Future Forum in Honolulu this week.
