CLEARWATER, Fla. – The $1.2 billion Municipal Credit Union has decided to go with TWS System's IMAGECENTER solutions to help prepare for Check 21. The New York City-based credit union plans to use several IMAGECENTER modules, including a real-time fraud prevention solution and an ATM deposit management system based on Microsoft .NET technologies. The ALERTMANAGER system provides constant updates about possible fraudulent transactions and access to an online fraud-prevention network. The OMEGA system uses digital-image processing and handwriting recognition technology to read check deposit amounts and reduce data entry for ATM reconciliation. The deal also includes disaster-recovery capabilities, TWS says.
