ST. PAUL, Minn. – Nine years after it was introduced, Deluxe Financial Services' cause-related check program which involves the company contributing a portion of the proceeds from the sale of checks with cause-related designs to organizations featured on the checks, has raised nearly $7 million. Introduced in 1995, the program enables consumers to support and promote their favorite charities by buying check designs that highlight their favorite charities. Among the many cause-related organizations Deluxe Financial Services has contributed to are the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, and the Wyland Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting oceans and marine life. Deluxe said its cause-related program nets more than $1 million annually for various groups by promoting breast cancer research, wildlife conservation, public television, and supporting the victims of 9/11.
