KENTWOOD, Mich. – CU*Answers has partnered with a new technology firm in Washington state to market and support its CU*BASE core processing system in that corner of the nation. Franklin Associate Solutions (FAS) will use its data center in Liberty Lake, Wash., near Spokane, as a base of its operations in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Randy Karnes, CEO of CU*Answers, says the 125-client CUSO had been looking for ways to serve that region and quickly found a match in FAS, a new organization created by "an experienced team of programmers with a commitment to credit unions." Roy Franklin, FAS co-founder and CEO, says, "Partnering with CU*Answers, FAS can now offer a premier data processing solution in tandem with our own unique approach to credit union service and technology development."
