PASADENA, Calif. – Pasadena Federal Credit Union has sponsored the U.S. debut of Release of Souls – A Gift of Healing for the Human Spirit, a memorial concert and exhibit honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Attended by several hundred, proceeds from the event will be distributed to Firefighters Quest, a foundation which benefits burn victims, and the New York Fire Department's Cross Country Bike Tour, to benefit the Widows' and Children's Fund. A full Honor Guard detail accompanied the concert, and the exhibit features an 18-foot Memorial sculpture containing the engraved names of 343 Fire Fighters and 72 Port Authority NY Police Officers who lost their lives. The memorial exhibit and concert debuted in Vancouver in November of 2003, and will travel to 24 North American cities before reaching its final destination in New York City on September 11, 2005.
