The $235 million CU debuted the specially designed equipment Aug. 13 at the "Island of Blues Festival" and now is planning to use the machine at six or seven events during the next year. The portable device is produced by Eclipse Cash Systems, a Tempe, Ariz. vendor, with the equipment meshing well into the "Always Within Reach" CU theme. It was to be used again several times in September in Niles, Mich. at a "Haunted House" event, at the Nappanee Apple Festival and at an Elkhart radio station `Birthday Bash.' It was to return again to Niles in October for its annual Apple Festival. The trailer housing the gas-generated machine is branded with logos from Bayer and its Michiana CU Division. On hand to test the machine at the Blues Festival was the mayor of Elkhart, David Miller.
