LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky credit unions now have a league endorsed option for overdraft protection. The Kentucky CU League is the latest to endorse John M. Floyd & Associates as a strategic partners for its JMFA Overdraft Privilege program. Floyd said it now has endorsements with credit union groups that cover 23 states. It also is a strategic alliance provider of CUNA and endorsed by credit union data processor IntegraSys. Though overdraft protection programs have been under fire from consumer advocates who want the product to include an APR, credit unions are flocking to the service, saying it saves members from bouncing checks and getting black marks on their credit reports.
