CORVALLIS, Ore. – Credit union data processor Summit Information Systems has hooked up with Syntellect to offer its clients a speech-enabled interactive voice recognition solution. According to Summit, the solution, known as the Vista Credit Union Solution for Summit, uses natural language speech recognition and integrates with a variety of third-party host interfaces. Summit clients can integrate the solution using Summit's middleware product, Summit PathWays Connector. Aside from basic account information and loan calculators, the Vista product also allows CUs to conduct member surveys and outbound calling campaigns. Credit union can also opt for the basic touch tone version. American First CU has already gone live with the product using the PathWays interface. "We needed to replace our aging IVR system with one providing us with increased routing, transaction and reporting capabilities," said Brian Thompson, American First's Vice President of Delivery and Technology. Syntellect is a division of Enghouse Systems Limited. Summit is a subsidiary of Fiserv.
