HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - Evan Childs, director of governmental affairsfor the New Jersey Credit Union League, left his position there towork as senior account executive with New Jersey Network Televisionand Radio. Childs' last day with NJCUL was July 2. Childs was withNJCUL since May 2002. Prior to being named director of governmentalaffairs in June 2003, he was director of public relations. Beforecoming to work at the League, he worked as Chief of Staff to twoformer members of the New Jersey State Legislature. He has apolitical science degree from Montclair State University where healso studied law. In announcing his departure plans, Childs said,"The past two years have been a tremendously rewarding experiencefor me and I hope for you as well.This is truly a critical andexciting time for the credit union movement, with the ongoing taxthreat as well as the pending legislative issues. When everyonecomes together, this movement is second to none and can achieveanything it dreams to accomplish."
