SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Local credit unions of the California Credit Union League's Wine Country Chapter have recently teamed up to raise a total of 591 eyeglasses as participants in LensCrafter's Give the Gift of Sight program. Local credit union employees and members who donated eyeglasses included Cal State Central CU, Community First CU, Healthcare FCU, Patelco CU, Sonoma County Grange CU and Redwood Credit Union. "We are proud of the efforts made by chapter credit unions toward far surpassing our goal of collecting 100 eyeglasses to benefit people in need of eyeglasses around the world," said Chapter Vice-President, Scott Bolster, president/CEO of Healthcare FCU. "This effort supports the `people helping people' philosophy which credit unions were founded on."
