VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Members Own Federal Credit Union was one of 10 recently named Victory Valley Small Businesses of the Year for its part in revitalizing California's struggling economy. Assemblywoman Sharon Runner said the credit union contributed to helping provide high-wage jobs and essential services that have been instrumental in boosting economic development in surrounding communities. Despite having to contend with what she calls over-regulation and burdensome taxes, the 10 honorees have consistently contributed to keeping businesses in the state. Along with Members Own FCU, the other honorees are Armac Insurance; Mojave Copy and Printing; Printmart; Victorville Mitsubishi; Desert Community Bank; Napa Auto Parts; Hi-Desert Communications; Beck Oil; and Bluestar Properties. Runner presented all honorees with certificates of appreciation at the Victorville Chamber of Commerce installation banquet meeting here on Wednesday.
