America's Christian Credit Union, Brea, Calif., Marketing Coordinator Scott D. DePrat has been named Employee of the Year. DePrat was instrumental in the credit union's smooth adoption of a new name and field of membership marketing strategy in 2003. In addition, DePrat has developed and enhanced ACCU's Web site and company Intranet. Deere Harvester Credit Union, Moline, Ill., President Terry Brahm has been named the Illinois CUES Council CEO of the Year. He is the only credit union president to have received this award three times since it began 20 years ago. Under Brahm's leadership, in the past year DHCU assets grew more than 17%, capital grew more than $2.1 million helping the ROA to climb to .90%. Visions Federal Credit Union, Endicott, N.Y., has been awarded an Eagle Scout award by the Baden Powell Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The credit union staffers were singled out for their fundraising efforts including a Silent Auction that raised over $20,000 for the Boy Scouts.
