WASHINGTON-Several lawmakers for the Texas congressional delegation made appearances at a reception recently held by CUNA for Chairman Dick Ensweiler, president and CEO of the Texas Credit Union League, at the U.S. Capitol. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-Texas) and Representatives Ralph Hall (R-Texas), Nicholas Lampson (D-Texas), Silvestre Reyes (D-Texas), Charlie Stenholm (D-Texas), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas), and Ciro Rodriguez (D-Texas) attended the reception. In addition, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Mike Oxley (R-Ohio) and Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee Chairman Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) turned out for the event. CUNA is planning to make the Capitol reception an annual event to honor its chairmen.
