LA JOLLA, Calif. - Legendary Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz and former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer were among the featured speakers at WesCorp's recent 10th annual Future Forum held at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. Holtz proved true to his motivator reputation. He presented attendees with his five key components to success. Fleischer gave his political take on the upcoming election. He said Senator John Kerry has to give the country a more solid reason to elect him other than he's the one man with a good shot to beat Bush. Fleischer said unemployment and job creation, the stock market, and the deficit will all play roles in the election. Also speaking was Robert Reich, Hexter Professor of Social and Economic Policy at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and former Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration. Reich said the $500 billion and growing deficit and the disparity in income in this country will cause economic problems in the long run. WesCorp said the Future Forum attracted 325 attendees, mostly CEOs and CFOs, which was a new record for the event.
