SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.-First Financial Credit Union is the latest credit union to join in partnership with Members Business Services. “Our goal is to meet the growing needs of our membership and the communities we serve. Through the expertise of Members Business Services, we will be able to rapidly and economically provide a wide array of products and services for our business members,” First Financial Credit Union President and CEO Richard Ghysels explained. Members Business Services, a credit union service organization founded in January 2003 by Arrowhead Credit Union in San Bernardino, Calif., offers state-of-the-art processing capabilities for business loans and deposits to credit unions. Other partners of Members Business Services include the California Credit Union League and SCE Federal Credit Union in Irwindale, Calif. “Offering business banking services is an excellent way for credit unions to build loan and deposit totals, diversify income sources, grow membership and serve the community. Members Business Services exists to help credit unions enter this growing market,” Member Business Services CEO Steve von Rajcs said. Member Business Services has handled $75 million in loans, while the deposit side is still being added. He added that the CUSO plans to open up its services to credit unions other than the owners as they show interest. Credit unions can “plug” their systems into Member Business Services’ teller lines and “we become their backroom,” von Rajcs said.
