LYNCHBURG, Va. – Virginia credit unions have been invited by Howard Silberstein, director of corporate marketing for Children's Hospital Foundation, to volunteer to participate in an upcoming Radiothon Children's Miracle Network fundraiser in Fredericksburg, Va. According to the Virginia Credit Union League, the invitation is exclusive to credit unions. The two-day Radiothon will be held April 30 and May 1. Eight volunteers are needed to answer phones and accept donations during five time blocks. The Radiothon will be broadcast on the local FM country station 93 WFLS. Wal-mart said it will match the phone pledges dollar for dollar. The League also plans to do some one-on-one radio interviews with the credit union volunteers.
