ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Credit Union "CU Succeed" program which promotes teen usage of credit union services will host "a first-ever" teen marketing conference Sept. 15-17 in Las Vegas. "Our goal in holding this conference is to help credit unions understand exactly how to target this very unique group to meet their present and future financial needs," said Ray Beauchamp, vice president of the League's service corp. and of CU Succeed. Beauchamp said the Las Vegas conference being held at the Monte Carlo Casino is designed to help CU marketers "learn more effective techniques of marketing." He added the session will not be a pitch for CU Succeed though CUs can sign up. That teen club program, now three years old, has more than 265 CU participants and involves newsletters, brochures and websites targeted to teens with an eye toward getting them to use CU products and services.
