BATON ROUGE – Shreveport Federal Credit Union President/CEO Helen Godfrey has been selected by Governor Kathleen Babineaux to serve on the Louisiana Commission on Women's Policy & Research. Godfrey is one of 11 women chosen by the Governor. The Louisiana Commission on Women's Policy & Research, also known as the Women's Commission was created in 2003 to identify and analyze trends of negative impact regarding the health and prosperity of women. Charged with the responsibility of advising the governor on women's policy, the group also offers solutions based on their research findings. The first meeting of the newly appointed Women's Commission is set for April 14th here in the State Capitol.
