GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions Inc. is now re-selling to credit unions and community banks an investment management and accounting software solution from Houston-based TPG Software Inc. Called Portfolio Genius, the software is designed to handle portfolios containing a wide variety of complex and simple investment instruments, as well as facilitate regulatory reporting, advanced analytics and automated back-office functions, the companies said. More than 3,500 financial institutions and broker/dealers already use Portfolio Genius, which now will be offered through OSI's fti/Financial Technologies business nit. “We believe that the interface to our general ledger and asset liability management systems will give our clients one of the most advanced accounting systems available in the marketplace today,” said Mike Nicastro, senior vice president and general manager of OSI's Strategic Solutions Group.
