MADISON, Wis. – The Filene Research Institute and the Center for Credit Union Innovation have chosen 26 rising credit union executives to serve as inaugural members of i3, a new group dedicated to stimulating the development of new ideas and innovations for credit unions via the "next generation" credit union leaders. Filene received more than 200 inquiries and more than 100 applications from credit union executives from around the nation, said Mark Meyer, Filene director of innovation. The i3 group is made up of: Eric Acree, Vantage CU, St. Louis, Mo.; Thomas Boos, Billings FCU, Mont.; Linda Brown, Service 1st FCU, Danville, Pa.; Geri Dillingham, North Island CU, Chula Vista, Calif.; Teresa Freeborn, Kinecta FCU, Manhattan Beach, Calif; Denise Gabel, Spokane Teachers CU, Liberty Lake, Wash.; Laida Garcia, Florida Central CU, Tampa, Fla.; Elizabeth Hayes, Affinity Plus FCU, St. Paul, Minn.; Mary Ann Hughes, CommonWealth Central CU, Alexandria, Va.; Francis James, United Teletech, Tinton Falls, N.J.; Jeff Kline, CommunityAmerica CU, Kansas City, Mo.; Todd Lindeman , Alliance CU, San Jose, Calif.; Crystal Long, GECU, El Paso, Texas; James Miles , MidFirst CU, Middletown, Ohio; Ben Morales, Washington State Employees CU, Olympia; Peter Paulson, Corporate America Family CU, Elgin, Ill. The group will meet collectively for the first time May 22-24 in Sonoma, Calif.
