Additionally, the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) says it processed more than 120,000 complaints in 2003 (up from 48,252 in 2002). The Federal Trade Commission also has recorded a steep increase in Internet-related fraud, with 166,617 consumer fraud reports in 2003 (up from 110,288 in 2002).
